It is a GIS available to anyone with a reasonable computer and internet connection. It is the work of the QGIS Project, an amazing group of people collaborating to create professional quality GIS software for everyone at no cost.

An Ubuntu Linux operating system, it uses the minimal desktop LXDE/LXQT, and a selection of light applications. Because of this, Lubuntu has very low hardware requirements. Lubuntu was founded by Mario Behling and has been grown for many years by Julien Lavergne. Please join us and install Lubuntu on your computer.
Florida GIS, LLC would not work nearly as efficiently without Lubuntu.
